All about Biking, Harley Davidsons, Travel, Camping and More. I love to chronicle our trips and tell what we did, where we went, what happened and the pros and cons of the places we have gone to give future travelers an idea of what to see and do.

Black Hills Bike Rally, Sturgis SD
We have the ROT Rally behind us and now we are counting down the days till we leave for Sturgis. There is so much more we hope to see that we didnt get a chance to see last year. There are two falls in the area we missed last year.

The Bell Rings for Harley Davidson
Harley-Davidson Pres. & CEO to ring closing bell on NYSE Monday
Posted on: 11:13 am, June 22, 2012, by Cary Docter, updated on: 11:14am, June 22, 2012
The ringing will commemorate the company’s 25th anniversary on the Exchange.
The event also calls attention to Harley-Davidson World Ride, a two-day event, June 24-25, when riders around the world, including NYSE employees, hit the open road from the autobahn to Route 66 to celebrate the freedom of riding.

End to a great Rally
We finished another year at the Republic of Texas (ROT) Rally. We did alot more riding this year than in previous years. Our weather was much, much cooler than in previous years. We didnt even have any need to go to Barton Springs to cool off this year.
It was another year to hang with all of our ROT buddies. We were so close to the amphitheater we didnt even need to leave to listen to the concert. The one performer we did leave to go watch was Ted Nugent. He was awesome. I am hoping he will again be in Sturgis at Full Throttle like he was last year.
We did have one incident but I will keep you in suspense till I can post more later along with pictures.
Pictures of Rot will be following shortly. Stay tuned!
